Amplified telephones
Telephones are available which can be adjusted to increase the pitch/tone of the conversation, as well as the overall volume. These telephones are also hearing aid compatible. Through our association with the TEPP program, most patients are eligible to receive an amplified telephone at no or little cost. Contact our office for more details.
Amplified telephone ringer
Many patients hear well on the telephone, but are unable to hear the telephone ring. There are products available to make your phone ring louder, as well as telephone “flashers” which will visually alert you to an incoming call.
Wireless television amplifiers
We sell wireless headsets, which allow the hearing impaired individual adjust a wireless headset to their preferred volume setting, without affecting the volume of the television itself for other listeners in the room . No more arguing about the TV being too loud! (and no more complaints from the neighbors!). Visit our office for a demonstration of this technology.
FM Systems
FM systems allow you to have a “remote microphone” that is wirelessly connected to your hearing aids. This is particularly helpful in restaurants, group meetings, or noisy situations in which you cannot hear well due to background noise, or distance from the speaker. FM systems are also available for non-hearing aid users.
Amplified/Vibrating/Flashing Alarm clocks
We sell the “Sonic Boom” alarm clock, designed for those who can’t hear an average alarm clock. The Sonic Boom has an adjustable amplified alarm, optional light flasher, and optional bed “shaker”, to be SURE that you don’t oversleep!
